I’ve been selling for more than 30 years, and the longer I do it the more convinced I am that selling, done right, is just an honest conversation between two people who are paying attention to each other.<\/p>\n
That’s what I teach. As professional faculty and a sales coach at the University of New Mexico, I help students and professionals drop the script and the pressure, and learn to sell the way you’d talk to someone you respect \u2014 by listening, asking real questions, and staying genuinely curious about what the other person needs.<\/p>\n
It’s also how I’ve lived. I’ve been married to the same wonderful man since 1980. Together we homeschooled \u2014 really, un<\/em>schooled \u2014 our four children, who’ve grown into smart, self-sufficient adults. I’m bilingual in English and American Sign Language, which taught me early that communication is about meeting people where they are, not making them come to you.<\/p>\n I’m also, finally, a graduate student turned graduate: in December 2025 I completed my master’s at UNM in Organization, Information, and Learning Sciences (OILS) through the College of University Libraries and Learning Sciences.
